Register an AI systemNew
Create an AI system with the "+ Register New AI System" wizard, choose how it connects and set its first guardrails.
Every protected browser rollout, Claude deployment or application is an AI system in AgentID. Create one per policy boundary: if two groups need different guardrails, give them separate systems.
Start the wizard
On the dashboard click + Register New AI System.
Choose the integration target
Pick how the system connects:

Complete the steps for your target
The wizard adapts to the target:

In the guardrail step you choose what is blocked and what is masked: prompt injection (SDK / API only), toxicity, personal information, and passwords and secrets. For SDK / API and Claude Desktop systems with masking on, you can also turn on Restore masked values in app responses (Beta); for browser systems, enable restoration later in Guardrails. All of these can be changed later in Guardrails.
Download the client and follow the first steps
For Browser Extension and Claude Desktop targets, the wizard can show download buttons and the first setup steps right under the target cards:
- Browser Extension: AgentID browser extension (Chrome, Edge). Unpack the ZIP into its own folder, open
chrome://extensions(oredge://extensions), turn on Developer mode, remove an older AgentID extension, click Load unpacked and choose the folder. After the wizard, connect the extension from the system's Integration tab and reload open ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Copilot tabs. - Claude Desktop: Claude Cowork / Claude Code plugin and Claude Desktop chat companion (Windows). After the wizard, open Integration and follow Claude Cowork and Claude Code and Claude Desktop companion.
Create the system
Review the summary and launch. AgentID opens the new system; continue on its Integration tab.
After registration
- Browser Extension: install and connect the extension, or roll it out with Chrome policy.
- Claude Desktop: add the plugin to Claude and install the companion on each computer.
- SDK / API: create an API key and integrate an SDK.
To change a system's basics later, use the edit action on its card on the dashboard. Guardrails, keys and integrations are managed on the system's own tabs.
